Anti resonant circuit or Parallel Resonance
The parallel of anti resonance form of reactive circuit is shown in figure 1, connected to a generator of internal resistance Rg. The capacitor C will usually have negligible resistance. So that R may be considered as the resistance of the inductor L plus any resistance introduced as load. For parallel circuit, the resistance is occurred at the point where the current in the circuit is minimum. For this, the impedance of the circuit must be maximum which is the condition for parallel resonance circuit.
Now, the admittance of the capacitive branch of the circuit is
