Finding out which products have no real competition was the surprise win

When I started using ecommerce competitor tracker I assumed the value would come from the products where we were getting beaten on price. That part did turn out to be useful, but the bigger revelation was the opposite: the items where no competitor offer could be found at all. We had been pricing those as if we were in a crowded market, holding back increases because we assumed someone somewhere was undercutting us. There was nobody. Those products were effectively our own, and we had been leaving money on the table for months out of pure assumption. Having that flagged explicitly, rather than having to guess, was worth the subscription on its own. The tool labels products by whether they are above, below or at market, and importantly flags the ones with no benchmark, so you can see at a glance where you have room to move and where you genuinely need to watch your back. Matching happens at variant level, which matters if you sell in sizes or colours, and you can request a sample report with your own products before subscribing.
