Manakamana Temple is located on the Gorkha district which sits in the confluence between Trisuli and Marsyandi river. It is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Durga. It is a two storeyed temple Pagoda style temple which was rebuilt after 2015 earthquake. There is a tradition of sacrificing animals like goats at the temple. Huge crowd of devotees can be seen during Saturdays and Tuesdays as Goddess will fulfil their wishes. Taking photo inside the temple is strictly prohibited. There are small images of Nava Durgas around the wall of temple premises. One has to go by Cable car, hired cars or by hiking. You will see some beautiful mountain ranges, hills, Trisuli and Marsyandi river on the way to Manakamana temple.
