बारुदी सुरुङ प्रतिबन्ध अभियान नेपालले २३ भाद्र २०८० का दिन सांसदहरुको बिचमा एक बैठकको आयोजना गर्यो । उक्त बैठकमा बारुदी सुरुङ तथा बिष्फोटक पदार्थको समस्याबाट नेपाललाई मुक्त गर्न सांसदहरुले खेल्नु पर्ने भूमिका, बिगतको बारुदी सुरुङ तथा बिष्फोटक पदार्थ बिरुद्धको संसदिय मञ्च र पुनर्गठनको आवश्यकता र आगामी योजनाबारे छलफल भयो ।

उक्त बैठकमा सांसद मेटमणी चौधरीले एनसिबिएलले व्दन्दको समयमा दाङ जिल्लामा मात्र ८५ वटा कार्यक्रमहरु संचालन गरेको संस्मरण गर्नु भयो । उक्त कार्यक्रमबाट जनताहरुले धेरै ठूलो राहत मिलेको बताउनु भयो । उपस्थित सांसदहरुबाट संसदिय मञ्च पुनर्गठन गर्नु पर्ने आवश्यकता बारे धारणाहरु व्यक्त गरे । गरिमा शाहले मञ्च हुँदा सवै सांसदहरुलाई औपचारिक रुपबाट सम्पर्क गर्ने र मञ्चले सवै सांसदहरु विच सूचना पुर्याउन सक्छ । सांसदहरु र अभियानकर्ताहरु बिच पनि सम्पर्क स्थापित गर्न सजिलो बन्छ भन्नु भयो ।

बैठकले पूर्व शहरी विकास मन्त्री तथा सांसद मेटमणी चौधरीको संयोजकत्वमा १५ जनाको बारुदी सुरुङ तथा बिष्फोटक पदार्थ बिरुद्धको संसदिय मञ्च र पुनर्गठन गर्यो ।

आगामी बैठकमा मञ्चले कार्ययोजना बनाउने भनी निश्कर्षका साथ बैठक टुँगिएकोछ ।

The Ban Landmines Campaign Nepal (NCBL) organized a meeting among the parliamentarians on 9 September 2023. In that meeting the role of parliamentarians to eliminate the problem of landmines and explosives in Nepal, to free Nepal from the problem of landmines and explosives, the parliamentary platform against landmines and explosives in the past and the need for reorganization and future plans were discussed.

 In that meeting, MP Metmani Chaudhary recalled that NCBL conducted 85 programs only in Dang district during the conflict. He said that the people got a lot of relief from those programs. The MPs expressed their opinions about the need to reorganize the parliamentary forum. Garima Shah said, "The Forum will be able to contact formally to the parliamentarians and will be easier to convey information to all the parliamentarians." She added, "It will be easy to establish contact between MPs and campaigners."

 The meeting led by former Urban Development Minister and Member of Parliament Metmani Chowdhury and reconstituted the 15-member parliamentary platform against landmines and explosives (PFaLE).

 The meeting ended with the conclusion that the platform will make an action plan in the next meeting.
