International day of mine awareness and assistance on mine action, 4 April 2023

On the occasion of the International Day of Mine Awareness and Assistance on Mine Action, Ban Landmine Campaign Nepal (NCBL) organized a symposium titled "The Role of Educational Institutions in Creating a Zero Mine/Explosives, Zero Victim" with the collaboration between the Department of Conflict, Peace and Development Studies, Tribhuwan University, on 4 April 2023. On the occasion, Ms. Purna Shova Chitrakar, Mr. Narayan Silwal, Brigadier General Nepali Army, Lieutenant Colonel Mr. Nirakar Pokharel, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Digbijay Subedi, Inspector Mr. Sushil Basnet from the Armed Police Force, Superintendent of Police Mr. Dan Bahadur Malla from Nepal Police and the Head of Department Mr. Pitambar Bhandari (PhD) delivered speeches. The symposium was chaired by Ms. Kushum Shakya, Dean of Tribhuvan University, who was announced and welcomed by Ms. Kamala Shrestha. Seventy-nine people including professors and young students participated in the program.
