Import duty for Pharmaceutical products in Nepal

According to section VI of customs tariff in Nepal, Medicaments consisting of two or more constituents which have been mixed together for therapeutic or prophylactic uses like medicine containing penicillins or derivative, containing antibiotics, insulin, containing ephedrine or its salts not put up in measured doses or in forms or packings for retail sale, also medicaments consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses (including those in the form of transdermal administration system) or in forms or packings for retail sale has import duty of 14% within SAARC countries and 15% in other countries.

Similarly, Homoeopathic medicament like Battisa, Drakshasab, Trifala, Kabjahar, Chyawanprash, Kesari Jeevan, Dashamularishta, Ashokaristh, Kalpasundari and similar products all imposes 9% import duty within SAARC countries and 10% Within other countries in Nepal.
