Import duty for live animals and animal products in Nepal.

According to section I, live animals except Fish and crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic invertebates impose import duty of 6% from SAARC countries and 10% from other countries to Nepal. Live animals includes Live horses, asses, mules and hinnies, Live bovine animals. live swine, live sheeps and goats, Live poultry, that is to say, fouls of the species Gallus domesticus, ducks,geese, turkeys and guinea fouls(Weighing not more than 185). Similarly, it has same customs duty for whales, dolphins and porpoises (mammals of the order Cetacea); manatees and dugongs (mammals of the order Sirenia); seals, sea lions and walruses (mammals of the suborder Pinnipedia). Fowls of the species Galus domesticus has import duty of 9% from SAARC countries and 10% from other countries.
