Background:
Nepal and China have relied on their friendship to co-exist in harmony for centuries. Apart from the geographical similarities, Nepal and Chine have also exchanged their social and cultural aspects with each other. The marriage that took place between Bhrikuti, the daughter of Nepal, and an Emperor of China around 13 hundred years ago further helped enhance the robust relationship between the two countries.
Though the two countries have adapted some alterations in their relationship over the years (in accordance with the time and situation), the faith and good will between them remains unaltered.
Women of Nepal and China have come a long way in terms of sharing the political, economical, social and cultural ideas and experiences. They are constantly learning new things from each other. The potential for collaboration is still much higher.
Keeping this in mind, Nepal China Women Friendship Society (NCWFS) was started to further the already established profound relationship between the women of Nepal and China in 2011. It is registered as a nonprofit organization in Chief District Office, Social Welfare Council and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. NCWFS was inaugurated by Excellency Young Haulan. The constitution for this society has been formulated under The Association Registration Act, 1977A.D.
