Hiking: Starting in Kathmandu

Nagarjuna Hike 2 and half hours hike to the Nagarjuna hill, also called Jamacho Peak. Along with the incredible view of Jugal Himal and Ganesh Himal, you also have a great view of Kathmandu valley, Swoyambhu and Nuwakot. Shivapuri Hike Second highest hill around Kathmandu valley. Walk through Shivapuri National Park and enjoy the nature. There are boards with directions to several hiking routes inside the national park. Starts from Budhanilkantha, which is a short micro bus ride away from Kathmandu (you can take the micro bus from Jamal, ~15 mins walk from Thamel). Helambu Circuit Trek Walk through the National Park of Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve, which inhabits a paradise of flora, including exotic orchids, and a myriad of wildlife and birds. Trek through the villages with spectacular panoramic views of Ganesh Himal Massif, Langtang Himal, Rolwaling Range and distant views of peaks in the Everest region.
