A Mass Meeting on "Rehabilitation of Degraded Land through Organic Farming"
Women Development Society organized a mass meeting along with UNDP on "Rehabilitation of Degraded Land through Organic Farming" at Maidi village in Dhading District of Nepal on 25 August 2014. More than 100 participants including Dalit, Women, farmers as well as political leaders, Agriculture service providers and experts, teachers and social activists were participated.
As the chief guest of the program, Purna Shova Chitrakar, president of the program Ram Prasad Adhikari and guests from various sectors Krishnaman shrestha, Premnath Silwal, Rana Bahadur Shahi, Sudarshan Bhatta, Buddi Bahadur Baniya, Ram Bahadur Karki, Ram Prasad Bhatta, Jhumka Man Shrestha, Krishna K.C, Ganga Dutta Bhatta and Raj Kumar Timilsina prested their views on that occasion.
The chief guest Purna Shova Chitrakar said,"Without active participation of women, the problem of land degradation can not be solved." She said, " Only active participation of women, the economic, political and social status of the country can be improved and it improves the status of women".
