Established in 1997 and is located at the heart of the Kathmandu Durbar Square (Basantapur). It specializes in Chinese, Continental, Mexican, Nepalese & Indian cuisines. It's good for gatherings as the atmosphere is quite attractive.

Grasshopper Cafe in Basantapur is a multi cuisine restaurant, best known for its awesome Lasagna. Other items popular on the menu are Potato Skin, Fillet Steak and Spaghetti.

The place has seating arrangements that can comfortably accommodate 70 people indoors. It is very aptly decorated, with false raised flooring on one third of the area to create a Nepali style seating arrangement.
