WODES Digital Literacy Program

In this competitive world, knowledge has become a very indispensable tool. However, we must acknowledge that learning in a generic manner accomplishes very little. Knowledge today is all about the specialized, about the technical. Knowledge about information technology and Internet-based studies have become very relevant, very important.

Furthermore, in a developing environment where women are trying to make their voices heard, they need to be technologically educated. This allows them to compete and put their voices forward effectively.

With this in mind, Women Development Society (WODES) launched a program to educate young women about online content management systems. The program consisted primarily of educating young women on the operation of systems such as Naya, Wordpress and other CMSs. The participants were taught elementary skills to build and manage blogs and websites.
