Nag Pokhari - Mul Chowk



Located inside the Mul Chowk, Bhaktapur Durbar Square is this 17th Century water tank used for the ritual immersion of the idol of Taleju. The pool is encircled by a writing stone Cobra and more serpents rising up in the middle and at the end of the tanks, where water used to pour form a magnificent dhara in form of a goat eaten by a makar.
