Himalyaan Ranges view from Kalinchowk



Kalinchowk is newly opened trekking trail where views of panoramic Himalyaan ranges can be seen. Below Kalinchowk, lies a village named Kuri inhabited mainly by Tamangs, Sherpas and Brahmins.

A good view of the mountains and Sun Koshi river can also be enjoyed. You pass Rhododendron forests. From the highest altitude of Kalinchowk (3579 m.) you can get a good view of Annapurna, Lamjung, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Shisha Pangma, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Amabamori, Gauri Shandker and Namburi Himal. There is also a significant temple of Hindu called Kalinchowk Bhagwati situated in up from Kuri, the walk on the staircases up to the hills of Kalinchowk. Two natural spring originate from this area which are called Sundhara and Tama and these are the main source of the two big rivers, the Sunkoshi and the Tama Koshi rivers. From Kalinchowk one can get the good view of the Kathmandu at night.

The national flower of Nepal, Rhododendron and the national bird of Nepal, the Pheasant (Danfe) can also be seen in this area. While descending to Suspa, you can see a very rare community in Nepal called "The Thami".
