Machhendranath Temple
The Machhendranath Temple is worshiped by the Hindus and the Buddhists worship the deity as an aspect of Shree Amukpak Lokeshwor, is located in the heart of Lagan Tole, Kathmandu. Stands tall a white temple with two stone lions guarding the temple, with the whole temple painted white. The temple consist the prayer wheels in the right and left side of the gate, whit a beautiful toran in the gate way of the temple, with two bronze Nepali flag each side of the gate and inside it consist of the image of Shree Amukpak Lokeshwor, the white faced god. It is believed that the deity is the mother of Seto Machhendra Nath or Arya Avalokiteshwara of "Jana Bahal Temple".
At the end/last day of the Seto Machhendranath rath jatra, the chariot is pulled to Lagan tole, Machhendranath Temple.
