Nau-talle Durbar

In south east corner of Nasal Chowk inside the HanumanDhoka Durbar Square, stands (Nau-talle) Nines storey Basantaspur palace with the roof in four layers. This place has been erected in the design of Nepalese temple., constructed by King Prithivi Narayan Shah in 1826 B.S. The wooden images of God & Goddess carved in the windows are very artistic & attractive. On the top most roof of the palace there are three golden pinnacles from the four windows in four directions of the top storey of the palace, the whole Kathmandu can be viewed. The wooden carvings and designs are awesome and eye catching.
