Gan Kuti Mahadev

is a Shikhara temple in Maru tole from the 15th century. The temple gets its name from a famous legend which limned a story of a priest who invoked all the deities for the consecration ceremony of the Kasthamandap Temple. So the temple and surrounding area is called Gan Kuti, the place where the deities were invoked. Gan means Gods and Kuti means place in Newar.
