Simha Sattal

In the south across the road from Kasthamandap, there are four bronze lions in the four corners of a three stored sattal known as Simha Sattal. There is a stone image of Narayan on the top floor of this sattal.

It is, however, one of the few structure with an open upper storey probably based on principles of domestic architecture. Even though the sattal seems to be falling apart, the roofs are crumbling and the lower level is choked with shop goods and vendors., it still stands still and catches the eyes of the passerby.

It is believed that it was built from the remaining wood, that was used to built Kasthamandap which is fascinatingly built with one single Sal tree.
