Batuk Bhairab

Batuk Bhairab Temple is one of the most famous deities amongst Kathmandu Valley residents. The literary meaning of Batuk Bhairab is "Young Bhairab" who has not yet been old enough to go for schooling (In Hindu custom one whose Bratabandha has not been finished). As because he is young and hence innocent, it is believed that it is very easy to appease him. Many people flock to this temple on Sundays as this day is considered the day of Batuk Bhairab.
