Laxmi Narayan
Initially the Laxmi Narayan building was not meant to be a temple and was used as a public shelter just as Kasthamandap and Singha Sattal—a fact that is evident after one look at the construction style of the temple. The name of the building comes from the temple of Laxmi Narayan that was installed much later on the northern side.
The Laxmi Narayan temple has been depicted in old pictures as an exceptionally pretty building. However, as it stands today, the temple building is neither attractive nor is it respected as a Sattal or even a temple.
