Just a short walk from the Patan Durbar square, the Rudhavarna Mahavihara is an interesting detour. This temple has been modified with addiction in different periods, but the original old struts at right and left sides, female figurines with less decoration defines the fine architecture in Nepal. The courtyard of the temple is a show of different skills, a milestone of styles, stones and metal work crowded with dragons, elephants, lizards and Snakes 'nagas' and complicated mythologycal creatures, mixed with deities and flowered branches. The surrounding is incredibly pleasant. Also a statue of a dignified noble man wearing the Rana's uniform and crown is the silent withness of all this chaos.

The Patan Museum

The Patan Museum displays the traditional sacred art of Nepal in an illustrious architectural setting. Its home is an old residential court of Patan Darbar, one of the royal palaces of the former Malla kings of the Kathmandu Valley. Its gilded door and window face one of the most beautiful squares in the world. The museum’s exhibits cover a long span of Nepal’s cultural history and some rare objects are among its treasures. Their meaning and context within the living traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism are explained. Most of the objects are cast bronzes and gilt copper work, traditional crafts for which Patan is famous.[http://www.asianart.com/associations/patan-museum/index.html]

Nuwakot

Nuwakot is a very small town in Nepal but with great wonders and historical importance which moulded the Nepalese history. For it is here that the Great King Prithvi Narayan Shah set out in 1750 to unify Nepal which at that time was dotted with tiny kingdoms. Nuwakot is a topographical wonder with extreme variation in its vertical limits, like it is just 450m above sea level at the banks of river Trishuli
